Q: Do you have a license?
A: Yes, we are licensed Professional Engineers in the State of Texas, and work around the DFW Metroplex area. We focus on and specialize in foundation design and analysis of broken foundations.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: Most of our design work is completed in the office, so it is easy to cover a 100 mile radius, usually making one field trip. We cover the entire DFW Metroplex area, along with areas extending from Denton to Waco.
Q: What are your rates?
A: This is certainly one of our most frequently asked questions. We charge by the square foot for foundation designs and have a flat rate for structural inspections. Each project can be under a different category of charges. Please don't hesitate to call for a free quote.
Q: What is your background?
A: I have a degree in mathematics from Hill College, and a degree in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University. Structural Engineering is a specialized field under the branch of Civil Engineering. The State of Texas requires us to continue education each year to stay up to date with the latest news, policies, and challenges currently being faced by the Structural Engineering field.
Q: Why foundation problems might exist?
A: There are many factors that can cause your house to settle or battle against upheaval. A leaky plumbing system could create cracks in brick and Sheetrock, or leaking sewer and water lines could cause areas of upheaval. This can also be the cause of settlement due to overly saturated soil.
